10 February, Arau, Perlis – Propadu Energy Sdn Bhd was received by the Vice Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Zaliman bin Sauli, for discussions on the potential of developing a large-scale solar PV deployment on existing and new above-ground structures at the UniMAP campus at Pauh Putra, Perlis.
UniMAP’s Centre for Industrial & Governmental Collaboration’s (CIGC) Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd. Najmuddin Mohd Hassan and Deputy Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Heah Cheng Yong together with the Dean of UniMAP’s Faculty of Electrical Engineering & Technology, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Shamsul Bahar Yaakob, facilitated discussions together with Propadu Energy’s Managing Director, Datuk Hj. Mohd. Nazri bin Ismail; Northern Region Business Development Manager, Faizal Ahmad; Energy Division Business Development Manager, Wong Jae Senn; and Business Development Advisor for Perlis State, Rizwan Ahamed Bin Badrudin.
The discussion ended on a positive note and Propadu Energy will be submitting a collaboration proposal to UniMAP for the investment and development of the above-ground solar PV deployment that will provide various primary and secondary benefits to the campus from the inputs and advice of the UniMAP team.
